Central Oregon Council on Aging

For more than three decades Central Oregon Council on Aging (COCOA) has proven to be a vital resource for seniors in Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties. The agency’s 30 employees, along with nearly 70 volunteers, provide a variety of services designed to help keep seniors living independently and in their own homes for as long as possible. COCOA has created and published a free resource guide “Directions” for people who are in need of information about community resources. Contact COCOA to obtain a copy at (541) 548-8817.

Seniors & People with Disabilities provides information and services for seniors and people with physical disabilities. The website provides information about aging, health related issues, care giving services, support and advocacy for older Oregonians.

Veterans’ Service offices assist veterans and their dependents with submitting claims to the Veterans Administration for benefit programs related to disability. In home care services is one of the benefit programs.
