The quality of our staff is key to our success. Our screening process involves a thorough criminal background investigation and multiple personal and professional reference checks. Staff are hired based upon abilities/skills, experience and quality of past job performance. We have been very successful retaining qualified staff over the years. We are proud of the longevity of staff retainment of our employees which averages approximately ten years or more.
Depending upon your availability, skills and flexibility we strive to accommodate the numbers of hours and days you would like to work. We staff for shift and hourly, daytime, nighttime, weekends and holiday work. We work closely with our employees to provide on-going support, educational and training opportunities.

Basic Requirements to Become an Evergreen Caregiver:
- Clean criminal background and driving record
- Valid Oregon Driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance
- One year previous caregiving experience
- Pre-employment and random drug screening
- Be at least 18 years of age
- A reliable vehicle
- Willingness to work weekends and variable schedules
- Be able to follow directions and work independently
- Be caring, responsible and demonstrate good judgment
- Certification is desirable but not required
